After prostate treatment
3 min read
After prostate surgery, the muscles that help you stay dry need to take over. Many men leak at first and improve over weeks and months.
Start when your surgeon or nurse says it is fine, usually once the catheter is out. Begin with short holds and build slowly.
Keep every session soft and steady, finish with a relax, and use the knack before coughing or lifting. If leaks do not improve, ask about a referral to a pelvic health physiotherapist.
Heldwell is a self-help tool, not medical care. If you have pain, bleeding, a bulge or heaviness, or trouble emptying your bladder, see a doctor or a pelvic health physiotherapist.
